I paint, what I feel at that moment, so deeply and sincerely, as far as I am able to feel. I am looking for the contact. What is art? Finding the objective, to which the leading road is through the subjective. The art is objective, therefore has value.”
In 1945 he was born in the forester’s lodge in a game reserve near Fesőbalogh in Slovakia. His fahter was Seres János painter. From 1961 he spent the summers at the Miskolc artist colony and later they moved here permanently. In 1967 he was admitted to the Department of Painter-Restorer of the Budapest College of Fine Arts. In 1968 he emigrated to the USA, where he lived for two years, mainly in New York. He was admitted to the 3rd year of Cooper Union of Art and Architecture, where he studied graphics and painting. In 1976 he graduated from the College. At that time he was again painting intensively, he had two individual exhibitions in 1978. Since 1994 he has been living and working in Miskolc, Hungary and Mumbai, India.
In 2006 following a 28-year interval, he started to paint again. Exhibitions on his later works have been organised in Miskolc, Mumbai and New Delhi, while his early works have been exhibited in Budapest and Miskolc in the MissionArt Gallery.
